ISU vs. UNI Game Thread

CB has not been able to take the ball to AK, take it down low to the rim, he is playing well but settling again for fadeaway jumps....

CB needs to be stronger and set up lower on the blocks and ISU get him the ball....

AK won the 1st half battle of these 2...

ISU started out that way, but then they let UNI take over control of the tempo. In order to run, you have to be able to rebound......and ISU isn't doing that. Not when UNI has 10 offensive rebounds already.
 
Welcome to Greg McDermott basketball. Just don't like his offense and don't think he gets the most out of his athletes.

Cyclone Alley is a neat concept, but someone made Cyclone Alley Central too powerful a few years ago and things were never the same.

I think my frosh year was the first year they were in existance, and they slowly took over as the years went by. Maybe CAC is different now, but I really hated the group that was running things towards the end of my time there. Knowing one of the guys on that group.. alcohol, swearing, ect were bad.

They also never really resolved the issue of giving your tickets to others when you can't make it, as you need to be wearing you CA shirt to get in, and I don't know about you, but I didn't do laundry ever 2 days in college, so that shirt would go 3-4 games atleast between washings. You don't want to borrow that

not much has changed while i was there. cyclone alley thinks of some stupid stuff

I agree. I don't know what we're running on offense at all?

We need to do what we did at Drake.... feed Brackins until they are forced to collapse on him, and then start dishing it out to Staiger and Christopherson for 3's.

Gilstrap needs to get under control better... although his two charges were total BS calls.

If GMac makes the right adjustments, there shouldn't be a problem.

It's not that easy. You can't just run up and down when it isn't there. UNI is getting back and making sure ISU can't get out on the break. That is what UNI does, they make you play a halfcourt game. They aren't going to get into an up and down game.

All CB needs to learn is an "up and under" move. Then he can fake that fadeway, and duck up under to the hoop. He will either get fouled or score every time on that.
 
Honestly though, IMO we are much better than them. We just need to relax and cut down on the stupid mistakes (and also guard better).

Doesn't help that the CAC board members are selected by current ones I believe, so the commitee self perpetuates itself. It's a good 'ol boys club, with an elite few given a lot of power and perks.

Not everyone that was on CAC was a **** but they were the vocal minority I think.


CAC should be ordering and handing out props, organizing bus trips and thats about it. That or give half of the student section back to the non-CA people. We always held our own against Cyclone Alley in terms of cheering, and there were a lot more creative people in terms of cheers and dressing up and the like
 
What is the deal with CAC? I will be a student next year and have always admired the student section. Can someone explain the issue? TIA
 
Remember... UNI is a very good team folks. 9 of their top 10 guys returning. Favored to win their conference.

ISU is playing about as bad as I've seen in a while... and we're up 5. I'll take it for now. We better expand on this lead though.
