Is ISU working on Adding Nursing etc?

I read a post somewhere that ISU is working on adding Nursing and maybe a few other medical majors. I have seen other similar Universities adding it recently (I think KSU did or is in the process). There is a huge demand, as most of the Universities that have BS in nursing only take around 50 applicants per year out of hundreds of applicants.

Has anyone else heard this? Is it just rumor? Is it something that is part of the McFarland building, that they will host clinicals etc?

To me it seems like a smart move, because of the demand, but I also know it would probably take a lot of work to implement.

Is Mary Greeley/McFarland clinic big enough to support school nursing program? I have no idea what the requirements are.

Yep, I am guessing that is what was being talked about.

Thanks.

I wonder if this will expand in the future if successful. Seems like that is possible.
I have a niece that is heading to DMACC this fall for nursing with plans to head to ISU after that. So, that program is definitely up and running.

We need all the quality nursing programs we can get out there. But they ain't cheap to run if you're going to set them up with the latest training equipment, technology, simulation labs, etc., and keep them current.
