I hear very little hype around them despite the fact they were a tough team last season before injuries and COVID collapsed their season. Looking at the schedule, I see KSU as ISU’s 3rd or 4th toughest game this season. Thoughts?

Been there, done that, bought the Tshirt. Only team that can beat Iowa State is Iowa State.
They were 4-0 with a win over OU and ranked 16th before they lost Thomspon and covid hit. Their coach won a ton at NDSU including 9 wins over P5. He knows wtf he is doing. So yeah, KSU is a big concern. That looks like it could a tough game.

Idk but it felt damn good to beat them like a tied up goat last year.
They're almost always a tough game. We're so much more dynamic than them though. We should stomp them barring bad weather, injuries, covid, etc. but it's in Transylvania. I have nightmares from that place.
Other than KU and UNLV, there is not anyone on the schedule that is sure thing.
KSU will be solid, better than TTU and Baylor and Kansas in the Big XII. I wouldn't be surprised if they make more noise than that.

It won't be THAT tough. I think OU, OSU, TCU, Texas, and Iowa will be much better than them as could WVU. But yes, they will be tougher than they were last year. That's especially true if it's extremely windy as I think that will affect our offense more than it will theirs (as evidenced by that **** show 2 years ago).
We aren't sneaking up on anyone. I expect we'll be ranked pretty high so it will probably be a pretty tough atmosphere.

I know they started off hot last year. They got their win v OU early before Rattler found his rhythm. Also, I haven’t checked it myself, but did OU have any COVID issues for that game?
I think they were short a couple guys but as I recall Rattler was pretty bad in that game, like 2-3 TOs, and I think KSU had a couple big returns too.
