Iowa vs. ISU

Bud Light is much better. Actually, reminded me of a story. The night before the ISU vs. Iowa football game in Iowa City we had a taste test of Natural Light and Bud Light. We couldn't figure out which was which. Either way, both are better than Miller Lite.

I hope you were severely intoxicated, because Natty Light is terrible. Which is why poor college students often buy cheap Natty Light and Keystone. I agree Bud Light is pretty good though.

I'd have to vote for Bud Lite or Golden Light. Sometimes i really hate the taste of Miller, unless youre talking about the Champagne of Beers.
Mich Golden Light is good too. I'm glad they have it down here now. We used to have to bring a few cases down when we went back home to Minneapolis.

That's what I was saying before the taste test. The major difference is color and carbonation. We did blind fold tests with about 10 people (we were half-in-the-bag so our results couldn't be included in a scientific journal) and about half the time the person doing the test would guess wrong. I highly reccomend the taste test to see if you could figure out. I was severly disappointed because I'm a huge bud light proponent.

I don't know why everyone thinks we're going to lose to Bradley. Is there something I don't know or is it just a hunch that everyone has. It isn't Hilton, but close.

oh, the days of sipping keystone light while partying in a house on welch...oh, memories.

so...did we find a driver yet?? you think i'm kidding...but i'm not. a case of beer for the driver (to drink upon our safe return home!) :rofl8yi:

It WOULD be a lot of fun to make it to the game. I've actually never gotten to Iowa City in my 3 1/2 years at ISU thus far. Definitely need to break that streak soon...I'll have to see if my schedule allows.

I have been disappointed with our bigs so far. Marsden looks completely out of place. He struggles on the glass and has a hard time holding his postion on the block. If he does get it there, he doesn't appear athletic or strong enough to create. I don't know about Jiri...I just don't think he is a back-to-the-basket type player. However, GMac has shown the ability to really coach the bigs so maybe he can get some good things from them.

Lots of tickets available for this game, so spread the word and buy them up. It would be great to have a lot of Clones at the UNI game as well.

you've NEVER been to iowa city?? wow. that's crazy. i have been several times--to go out to the bars (always ended up being a high school reunion), to shop, to go to the red hot chili peppers w/ foo fighters way back when...as well as a couple bball games and a few football games. aside from this year's isu/iowa fball game, it's usually a good time.

Haluska will not destroy us

I watched last night's eiu game w/ Citadel. Haluska did shoot well but he will not destroy us. Rashon Clark will get in his grill defensively and follow him all over the court. I was impressed with their new shooting guard but I think Taylor will match up with him well. eiu does have a couple big guys in side but I don't see them requiring a double team. So I think Clark will be free to just hound Haluska. eiu is better than I'd thought they'd be, but so are we. I think it will be a close game but I give us an advantage with more experienced and skilled post players in Jiri, Jessan, and Ross. eiu has less experience back than we do, if you can imagine that.

First off i have watched all of ISU and Iowa's games...The only person on ISU's team that could go over to Iowa and play would be CLark. THe game will be good because i mean its the ISU/IOWA Game....I just think ISU is way to young..iowa has alot of weapons.. but like i said its the ISU/IOWA Game anything can happen..it will be a good one iam sure

That sounds like a blast! Have to kind of give me a break though - I've only been in Iowa for these 3 1/2 years of school. Otherwise it's back up to Minnesnowta for me. My roommate can't make it to the Cyclone Alley road trip to UNI, so maybe I could talk him into road tripping to IC.

I see us losing most or all of those games as well. None are at home, of course.

I think we have a great chance to win at Minnesota. We should be slightly favored against Bradley. Iowa will be a toss-up if you ask me. However, I do not expect us to win at Columbus.
