Iowa State's audio asset requests for the new College Football game reveal

One of the things I loved about NCAA circa 2004 was that it used fight songs for all the schools (some had 2).

While I'm OK with some other things worked in, I hope it's primarily fight songs / band songs. I guess I'm old fashioned, but I still associate College FB with marching bands and fight songs.

I will say, it'll be kind of fun to play this at away stadiums to see some of their game day experiences we don't get to see watching on tv.

Colleges emulating the NFL stadium experience... that is, canned music piped in over audio systems that distort the **** out of the music no matter what you do, and everybody plays like the same ~50 songs or so with no individuality or uniqueness to it because it has to appeal (or at least not actively offend) everybody in the stadium... is really one of my least favorite things about this century so far.

How about Tom Petty "Won't Back Down" after the 3rd quarter? Initially did that as a tribute to Petty right after he died and I love that it has become a staple since as it fits our mentality well

I will forever and associate Smoke on the Water with watching us immediately fall behind 21 points in the first 6 minutes to Baylor or OU.

wish they included for I for S for the PAT/FG song....that's the song we actually play

“Smoke on the Water” was the last reason those late Rhoads-era teams lost football games.

I’m pretty sure the spreadsheet is the notes from whoever we have that manages the game day audio at Jack Trice. There is 0% chance that Juicy Wiggle makes into the game itself. The previous iteration of the series never had licensed music except for songs licensed from the university itself, so my one hope is that they put in a larger variety of songs from our marching band with this next incarnation.
