Clark McLeod made some pretty good coin starting up and selling telephone companies. Non-competes only last so long. It also sounds like they may legally we on the slide.

Sold them in 2007 and 2015, they aren't going to make a non-compete longer than 5 years
That’s pretty solid plan. Make a good product, sell it for a chunk of change. Make another 5 years later, repeat.
