How would you categorize them? Are they a news site or a fan site or what? I like what they do for the state with wrestling in general but find their clear fan boy bias with Iowa to be annoying. The CRTC has so many events and even have one coming up where the Governor is speaking at it and there isn't any news about it from them. Yet they pimp every single HWC fundraising event they can. And it's not like they are just saying that they are happening, they are literally marketing for them.. If that is their agenda then fine, but don't play the "journalist"/"reporter" partisan crap when it's convenient for them.

I am still deep into HS wrestling. They provide some decent updates, but other things can be way off. Rankings, don't look too long at those; I'm usually left scratching my head on several flyers they are taking in the 5-10 range. I figure anything that helps promote wrestling is positive and that's where I put them. College side is Iowa coverage basically, so if you aren't an Iowa fan, no need to look much

Yep. I follow them because they have great content. And their coverage of the Iowa high school state tournament is outstanding.

That being said they are obviously Hawkeye fans and I don’t think they try to hide it. But even their basic coverage of Iowa state has an occasional slight of condescension. Its really annoying.

Be careful, I was told if you have anything critical to say about a media organization you should do it to them personally and not on a public forum. Otherwise you may be ostracized on this board.

I have no idea what you're referring to, but knowing how much media ripping goes on around here, if you got ostracized, you were probably pretty far off base.

I have a hard time knocking anyone that is trying to promote the sport. Tony has done a great job in covering every aspect of wrestling (youth, high school, college and above). If they are a little bias to the Hawkeyes, I can live with that, if it gets one more wrestling fan to follow the sport. I purchased their season pass last year for $65 and it was well worth the money. It enabled me to watch youth , high school. and college matches that I would normally not be able to view.
If their high school ranking were perfect it wouldn't be any fun as I couldn't text Tony telling him how wrong they are.
Thanks for promoting the sport IAWrestle.

Great for the state of Iowa as a whole.. Frustrating as a Cyclones fan. Fan-boy is a great way to put it. They have a clear bias to their content and it's 80% hawks, 20% ISU/UNI.

Providing insight here, but what other website, besides the team website, covers ISU more? I'm just curious, because I can't find any. Yes, more of their content is Iowa/UNI based, but the world isn't perfect, so I'm happy with everything they do for the sport, which is growing it.

He is butt hurt because when he went after the lady who posts the recruiting and general wrestling articles on this site, several of us called him out. She made a couple errors in her article and instead of messaging her to give her corrections, he decided it was best to personally attack her abilities with posts in the thread.
