K State at 7 and Iowa at 16. Doesn't portend a good outcome for the K State game.
It's hard to say it's early in the season, teams haven't played many good teams yet. Stats don't get meaning until mid-season, IMHO. With that said no doubt ISU's ST are not playing well so far.

I hate this quote from Campbell so much
“I think what is going on there from a mental standpoint, man, my heart goes out to him, because you’re taking about a kid that’s fought (so hard) to get back,” Campbell said. “And the injury that he had is not like — man, it’s a torn Achilles. And you’re talking about a guy that uses his legs to produce success. So I think from my end of it, that’s why there is a loyalty to him, because I saw what he had to go through to put himself back on the football field. I’d rather ride with a guy that’s going to strain like that to get back than say, we’re just gonna go our separate ways. So I think Corey will only continue to work through it.”

I don't know what takes longer, Campbell to answer a question ... or Dunn to get a punt off.

Listen to Jeff Woody's comments about Dunn's punting on the latest Football and Random Things podcast. Jeff was pretty brutal, but still fair.

Given the strength of our defense, and the weakness of our punting game, I would strongly encourage Coach Campbell to watch this video! It's pretty interesting.

He's trying to say he won't abandon a guy that gets injured, and appreciates the effort the player put into coming back. That's a great thing, and I am sure players and recruits see that. So that aspect of it is OK.

I get what you are saying, that he also needs to play whoever is the best performer and wins the job. I think guys get a decent amount of rope with CMC; he doesn't seem to bench guys for one mistake as far as I can tell.

That said, its feeling like Dunn may have finally run out of rope. Guess we will find out, maybe this weekend, if we have to punt against KU.

Believe it or not I’m actually more concerned about our punt receiving team letting punters take all the time they want to boom one.

I clocked Corey Dunn's punt to set up the big return 3 times.

Time 1: 2.91s
Time 2: 2.85s
Time 3: 2.87s

That is F***ing pitiful.

What did you guys get?
You talking hang time?
If so, a decent D1 punter will be 4.5+
Everybody does realize that the one crap punt got tipped, right?
Not sure I want to watch the replay, ha. But yeah hang time not good at all. Also the first thang I thought with OP was he was maybe referring to the long time it seems he takes to get the punt off. Always afraid a a block anymore.

ST's is miserable for the most part. It has probably cost us two games already. Even though we didn't play great in other areas, offense especially.
