HUGE win and gladly eating crow...

I was listening to the radio and Heft said the side of the backboard is inbounds, so if the ball doesn't bounce out of bounds it's still in play. I honestly didn't know that, so don't know if it's accurate or not. The home crowd clearly thought it should have been their ball.
It didn't hit the side of the backboard. It hit a support behind it. Crazy that it bounced straight back though.

Great game. Super proud of everybody. I was worried about starting 0-3. 2-0 looks great baby!

Sounds like we’ll need 8 Big 12 wins to make the tourney. That’s only 6 more. Should do a Major League and peel a piece off of a TJ cutout so he ends up shirtless.

It's not a surprise but nice to see now that the boys are battle tested...
I don't think much of anything is going to rattle this team.
They just seem to keep grinding at near top effort even when a 20 run gets flipped on them.

It’s been so fun watching Lipsey’s development so far. At the beginning of the season- I was like most of y’all: the guy s going to be a solid backup. Just 6 weeks later: dude is playing grown man basketball. He’s smart, can drive, is one of the scrappiest defenders we have on a scrappy defense- he’s the real deal.

Face it ladies and gents- this season is gonna be even more fun than last year’s!

Ehhh, plenty of pictures of shirtless TJ out there already...still, that would funny.

Glad we overcame that brutal non-call on Lipsey at the end.
I thought we were done when that call got missed…

Tough teams find ways to overcome poor officiating. This team took a big step with this game and showed serious toughness.

At this point just making the tournament should not be the goal. We are playing for seeding. Most brackets have us in the 5-6 seed range right now. Probably need to get to 10 league wins to stay around there.

Personally I'm good if they just make the tourney. Elated actually.

The team though could have other things in mind. They're playing like it.

Obviously getting the best seed possible is a thing, but as we have seen year after year for some time now, it truly doesn’t matter your seed, especially after the first round. Sure a 1 is still great for getting out of the first round, but that’s maybe it. Percentages of a 1 or 2 making the Sweet 16 are very high but not a guarantee. Give me a good pod where we match up well with the other teams much like last year.

Heft is right, but the gear holding the backboard, which has said side, is totally out of bounds. Same with the any of the scoreboards hanging over or surrounding the courts, and any soft serve ice cream machines on the concourse. I am anxiously awaiting Gabe's eventual hitting of these items. I have a parlay placed at MGM on those. I'm 1/3 the way there baby!

Did you see the replay close enough to tell if an Oklahoma player deflected it?

I'm absolutely convinced we've struggled in that building because of lack of atmosphere. It sounds crazy that a flat atmosphere on the road would hurt the visitor, but when you are used to playing in a raucous atmosphere like Hilton it has to be weird to play in silence.

IMO the most overrated official in college basketball. He's certainly not the worst, but with the way the national talking heads go on about him you would think he's infallible. Glad we overcame that brutal non-call on Lipsey at the end.
40 year old John Higgins is one of the best to ever do it. Mid-50s, slowing down John Higgins guesses too much because he can't get to where he needs to be a lot of the time.

His game management skills are still elite but he has no business past regional weekend anymore.
