HUGE win and gladly eating crow...

Was listening to the locker room show after and John says to TJ, "so, Tamin Lipsey is a 5th yr senior, right?".

Do not read into this that I'm saying he's the same level as Monte, but his rapid acclimation and confidence in his 1st year really reminds me of Morris.
Haliburton too. All three elite basketball IQ guys.

Obvious missed call, but I don't think it was Higgins' call. I'll have to rewind and watch again. He did miss a pretty obvious off-OU call at the other end earlier.

He missed the shot off the side of the backboard in the 1st when he started watching the box out too soon.

Definitely a reason he is a former 5-star before his injury.

IMO the most overrated official in college basketball. He's certainly not the worst, but with the way the national talking heads go on about him you would think he's infallible. Glad we overcame that brutal non-call on Lipsey at the end.

Hollywood was in his prime when I was in school 20 years ago. He’s usually pretty solid but agree with people today, he was out of position or had bad angles several times tonight. The one where he wasn’t really looking because he was back peddling and had his head turned and still tried to make the call.

Watching tcu and miles, we might be in trouble Saturday
so be it. they beat us and they're likely top 10 and legit Big 12 champ contender. i actually feel better going there after they won than if they lost. won't be easy and we may be pounded. but they won't have a fan base there with all their students and many fans going to the natty title fb game.

bring it on. we have nothing to lose and a loss doesn't hurt in any way shape or form.

It should be noted that while we did give up an 18 point lead and they took the lead 29-27...once we tied it up at 29-29 they never had the lead again. They came back and tied two or three times in the second half but never led. So they led 29-27 for maybe a minute and that was their only lead of the whole game.

I figured there was no chance we would win once we blew the lead. Then when they missed the foul against Lipsey I figured we would lose there too. This team is mentally tough.
I definitely thought we we’re getting our hearts crushed after the no foul called turnover to lipsey

Yep, we have nothing to lose. It’s probably a good thing that miles got a good game out of the way. I guess it’s possible that our slow style messes with them some. We’re going to have to get back and prevent the fast break. But they also present a huge challenge because Dixon runs pick and roll every time. If we switch that leaves a small player on lampkin. Tough to defend that.

Honestly, this is a game where I’d love to have George Conditt. He was really good at defending pnr as a big.

I was listening to the radio and Heft said the side of the backboard is inbounds, so if the ball doesn't bounce out of bounds it's still in play. I honestly didn't know that, so don't know if it's accurate or not. The home crowd clearly thought it should have been their ball.

don't forget this is basically the same exact team as last year for TCU...and we won there last year.

I feel like miles was either hurt for that game or coming back from injury. But I could be wrong.
