I LOVE ISU basketball, but it always amazing me how some of you can maintain such focus on basketball as the football season is just getting underway and taking center stage.

We are bigger basketball fans than football fans. We are better at basketball than we are at football. We have had more success in the past, and will have more success in the future in basketball. All of those reasons make it more fun and easier to follow. It's hard to be extremely interested in a sport that your team finishes .500 or below in consistently.

My love of Cyclone basketball isn't seasonal. Dont get me wong, I'm definitely excited for football season and Jack was rocking yesterday, but given the choice I'll talk ISU hardwood any day of the week. It has nothing to do with the school's success/lack of success in either sport, I'm just a basketball junkie at heart. Have been since I went to my first game at Hilton when I was 5.
