Hooters restaurant chain is expected to gross over $1 billion in sales this year. We know ISU graduate Ed Droste founded Hooters and has a major ownership interest. Looks like he has plenty of cash to help our athletic program. Since we know Pollard is a shrewd AD, let's hope he is in contact with Mr. Droste and can sign him up as the ISU sugardaddy we need. Similar to the rich oil man who is funding all the capital improvements in Stillwater. One more wish-cheerleaders dressed like Hooter waitresses.

Actually, I read an article about how Chizik grew up close to the original Hooters. Jamie and he were talking about Ed Droste and what not. I want to say it was in the DMRag, but I don't remember for sure.

It was in the register, and not to be a downer, but Boone Pickens is just a bit wealthier than Mr. Droste.

It is nice to know, though, that an ISU grad had the great idea to combine hot wings and women in skimpy outfits :-).

LOL, yeah, the oil business is a little more lucrative then then hot wings/skimpy outfits business.

I think they talked about him setting up some outings down there to get financial support from ISU grads down that way. They also mentioned something about getting some FLA boys up to Iowa to play.

I'm really likening the Cheerleader hooters uniform idea ;)
For the ISU v. Iowa game they could do a promo. Cyclones clip the Hawkwings as the cheerleader serve them in the stands!

One of the founders of Hooters (not sure which one) was in the same frat as Pres Geoffroy (diff college). Maybe that would help with more $$$$.

That's cool. Different strokes for different folks........ hmmm not sure it's ok to talk about strokes in this thread....... i'll stop now.

Hooter in JTS?

I have heard a rumor thru the grapvine that Pollard wants to include a restaraunt/bar in the bowled in south end zone. Something sitting on top with a nice patio overlooking the field. Maybe a Hooters? They sure would get my business on game day!! :biggrin9gp:

LSU has a restaruant in the stadium. It is really used a lot by different organizations during the off-season and during the week. I am not sure if it is even open on game day. I do not htink it is much of a money maker though.
