This team is so good when we make the extra passes and don't force (and miss) tough layups/close shots. And when we don't, well Maryland, SC, Tech, and games like this happen. Combine that with God awful defense and it's almost impossible to win.

Hoiberg brings it up after every loss and yet we still continue to do it. Hope we get it figured out before tournament time.

I don't think this is really what's happening, but to play devil's advocate, I'm going to say this:

Georges-- is playing for the NBA this season. How else do you explain the body transformation and attempted game transformation? Trying to play along the perimeter all the time now, not putting up as good of numbers as last year. Less of a team guy this year, more of a me-first type. Getting lost in the mounds of media attention he's getting.

BDJ--not a good fit for Hoiberg. Selfish, me-first type that loves to try to create his own offense but unfortunately is not very good at. If it weren't for a poor attitude, he would be this teams MVP. Instead, he simply does not fit in here.

Charles Henry--new assistant coach with massive shoes to fill (Doc Sadler). No experience, and not a great X's and O's guy like the Doctor was. Barely older than the players he coaches, I wonder if there is an issue with respect? Or maybe Henry isn't a authoritative disciplinarian, certainly at least, not like Doc was. Questionable hire that isn't paying dividends.

Getting everything we can out of Nader, McKay, Hogue, and Naz. Otherwise this team is falling far short of expectations and potential.

I gotta give you major kudos for that post. That's not even being negative or sky is falling. Just the harsh truth of this years team.

You are wrong on so many points it's funny. BDJ was deferring to his teammates great tonight, as well as trying to create his own shot. Great players do both. I have a hard time determining who the best CF whipping boy this year, Thomas, BDJ, or Niang...

Also obligatory "missing doc sadler" post. Drink.

anytime we get down on the road, we lose all knowledge of how our offense thrives. We stop spacing the floor and dont make the extra passes

We got away from making the extra pass in the 2nd half. Everyone started driving the lane and forcing up shots instead of kicking it out once the lane clogged up. What's worse is that our coach did absolutely nothing to stop it. I know Fred loves having TOs to burn with 30 seconds left in the game, but he should have been calling multiple TOs early in the 2nd half. By the time he woke up the game was already out of hand.

The players aren't faultless, but when the entire team consistently shows a lack of fundamentals and composure away from home that's on Fred. This isn't isolated to this year's team, rather it's been a trend his entire career. Instead of changing out he operates, he DOES EXACTLY THE SAME THING EXPECTING A DIFFERENT RESULT

BDJ was hardly the problem tonight but he had a grand total of ZERO assists. He wasn't deferring very well.

4/9 shooting is just fine, it's the turnovers that continue to be an issue for him.

This team just isn't built to stop anyone, the pieces are not here. It is what it is, it's just not built that way.

Sure, I agree with that. But who is he trying to be a better player for?

I ask the question rhetorically, I really don't know the answer. I was merely playing devil's advocate, like I said. I do not even believe what I wrote in that post...to a T anyway...

I didn't really see selfish play today. I saw at least three turnovers in the second half that came from attempting to force an extra pass where there was none. Oklahoma adapted and stopped sucking in as much on one player when we drove inside. I felt we actually needed better rotation from people away from the ball. They should have been looking for a way to create open shots for themselves.

Most of those made shots came in garbage time as well. He was taking some gut wrenching shots tonight. Not earning his way back in the starting lineup anytime soon.

Why is constructive criticism considered hate??? Just because you disagree? Can you offer any counter points to his?

He's comparing everything to last year.

Last year we lost at Ku, at Baylor, at ou, (same as now) at kst, at Texas, and at WVU.

Last year they had a helluva win at okie st and got damn lucky to win in HILTON against okie st, then had an awesome run, but that was in March, not February.

You can't compare this team to years past until it's over. I'm not beginning to say that we'll run the conf tournament or have a run in the NCAA, but if you bail now, it is a "sky is falling" mentality.
