no thread on this yet.....watching. I really have tried to give Baker Mayfield a true chance to be likeable....but he just is not.
If he is undefeated now he probably wins heisman despite being a douche. If he more of a noble gentleman, maybe he wins it anyway despite the loss.

Unrelated....I read a recent account of Kinnick's heisman.....did not know he was more common sense and wise in his politics as a very young man as he was.....impressive man.

I caught some of this...I wondered if he was nervous at all that they'd show his little 'salute' as an example of his 'fiery' personality.

Yeah "fiery" and "on the edge" are euphamisms for being a ****. He's trying to be gracious....but it just look like he is trying too hard. Not very eloquent, but I guess that is what he is. Did he even draw up a draft of a speech?????

This OHIOAN just happened to notice what the Heisman people said was Midwest. Again, backs up my idea that my state is as much midwest or more midwest than yours... Iowa could easily be part of far west...

This shows Ohio barely clinging onto the Midwest, half of it hanging off the edge into some other eastern region. Meanwhile Iowa is solidly situated.

I don't even agree with the map anyway, Nebraska at the least is also Midwestern; South Dakota and Kansas probably are, and Missouri and North Dakota could be as well.

I would include N and S Dakota, Nebraska, and Missouri as part of the Midwest as well. I don't think I've ever seen them not considered Midwest

Northern 1/2 of Missouri. :)

Anyone that's seen the movie Nebraska knows that's about as midwestern as it gets.

With exception to the age of everyone, this isn't a whole lot different than my Iowa family get togethers.

Do people still take geography in public schools? I know life isn't fair.....but if the crusaders want to fix just one of the things wrong with 'Merica it would be to redistribute the senate representation.....12 New England senators out of 100 from an area about as big as Illinois....throw in Delaware, and it is a travesty of justice. I get the history....it's just wrong now though.
Why is West Virginia flipping me off, too?

If it weren't for Pennsylvania, Ohio would be in the ocean. How is that considered mid-west?

These threads are the best. “Baker Mayfield is a doosh..... let’s furiously debate geography!”
