It seemed like a good karma day. Lot's of great things happened on Gene Chizik Day this year!
I can't possibly add anything to the Gif-party, so I won't attempt it.
Not only was the Chiz record at ISU pathetic, he defeated only two teams that finished with a winning record. One of those was FCS-South Dakota State. Oh, and he didn't win a single road game.
He might as well have bolted after the win over Iowa. That was pretty much the peak — and even that almost didn't happen.
Worst hire of the Pollard era. But he made up for it with Hoiberg — and then some.

In Pollard's defense the Chizik hire was a slam dunk hire at the time. Not all hirings turn out positive, especially this one.
