In January of 2021 when I was hospitalized with covid I was watching kcci and they aired the story of this girl scout.

I bought cookies from her that year and maybe the year after.
I was able to get in contact with the mom on Facebook and told her how her daughter's viral moment gave brightened my spirits in the hospital and to tell her thank you.
She responded back and told me her daughter appreciated it.

While I agree they are ripoffs, girl scout cookies are $6/box, which is a bit of a markup. Boy scouts' popcorn they want $20 for the bags, I'd rather they just ask me for a direct donation at that point.
