First Car?

Powder blue 1959 Rambler Classic station wagon with a 3 on the tree. The girls though it was funny but their fathers did not. Might have had something to do with the back seats being down and a mattress and my sleeping bag being standard equipment. Too bad they never noticed my fishing rods and tackle box.

1979 Chevy C10 truck. This thing was turd brown but was a beast. I stuck $200 worth of exaust, glass packs straight from the headers, and it was the loudest truck in town. I hit so many things with it, but it didn't bend. I chopped up the dash to install a CD player and it was nicknamed "The Beast". I wish I would have kept it.

Light blue mercury Zephyr was my first car. Then I got a '69 Mustang convertible in '87. I still have it. I don't see myself ever getting rid of it.

I was handed the keys to a 1975 Pontiac Firebird Esprit. My dad bought it new when he graduated from Iowa State. It's sitting at my parents house, patiently awaiting restoration so that someday my son can drive it too.

First car was a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7. Candy apple red with a black vinyl top. Want to lay rubber. All you had to do was stomp on the accelerator. (None of that "mickey mouse" stuff.)

1982 Mercury Grand Marquis, I got it with 30,000 original miles on it in 95 or 96.

1968 Camaro. Still working on getting it how I want it. My first real everyday vehicle was a 1990 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup.

But no really, i had a 2001 Monte Carlo SS, loved that thing to death, then it started to shell out on me, had to put a new tranny in it, then the interior lights didn't work, then the final straw was, getting the windshield smashed by a crowbar, and the tires slashed. long story about that.

1985 Chevy S10 Blazer. Just a tank of a vehicle and terribly underpowered with that 2.8 liter V6. Seemed like it took 5 minutes to get up to 60 with the 2.8. The thing would go through a brink wall and loved driving it in the snow. I had a killer system in it...could hear the bass from a long ways away. All and all not a bad first vehicle. Sold it as a Junior and got a 1992 Z28 camaro...tricked out with shaved door handles, neon lights and an even louder system. :spinny::cool:

98 Ford Contour. Other than one or two issues it was incredibly reliable. I hated to get rid of it, but it was getting close to 200k miles and every time I fixed it I was spending more than it was worth. If I could have a choice of getting a new car or magically rolling that car back to zero miles I'd choose rolling it back every time. Best memory with it was somehow inexplicably beating a 3000GT in a race.

In 1999 I got a 1995 Grand Am GT 3 days before my 16th bday when i didnt think i was getting a car...it was awesome. Then I changed out the turn signals and interior lights with blue colored bulbs, put in subs and really got the party started. Then 3 months later i crashed it into a fence doing donuts...geez i was an idiot. She looked exactly like this

My first car was a gray '77 Malibu Classic. Passenger door latch didn't work and I had to tie it shut with a rope. Every time I went around a corner it swung open a few inches. The muffler was attached with a bike chain and Master lock. There was a hole in the back seat cuz one time I couldn't find my keys and I had to rescue a case of beer out of the trunk.
