I did decide to put up all the matches from the first set of wrestle-offs up on youtube for free. Tomorrow night will be for subscribers only but you can get a sneak peak of ISU here -> https://youtube.com/@IAsportz
I'm pumped for Thursday. It's great to have depth like we do. Lot's of matches to get excited about. I'll predict winners by listing them first in these matches:
125 - Kysen vs Perryman (Perryman has a bright future tho)
133 - Frost vs Grice (I know nothing of Grice so excited to see what he's got)
141 - Redding vs Frost
149 - Swiderski vs Ech (Match of the night IMO...Both are dynamite on their feet)
157 - Kraisser vs Stanek - This is Kraisser's semi final before facing Chittum
165 - Carr vs Euton (I hope Euton can score some points)
174 - MJ vs Carter Schmidt
184 - Helgeson vs Naak (I think this will be close)
197 - Broderson vs Nando (I'm curious to see Nando's progress)
Hwt - Yonger vs Bruening
No fancy order. Hope to see a good crowd on Thursday. If not I hope you can support IAwrestle. We will have stepped up coverage for ISU this season with two dedicated individuals covering ISU only.
That is a prime example of wrestle-offs not being absolute. Now…is he going to get beat? Probably not, but there is absolutely no chance, barring injury, anyone other than Carr is going at 165, even if he does.Wait. What? David Carr has to wrestle-off to get his spot? I suppose that eliminates any of the close calls. All have to earn their spots.
This and it’s just a chance for David to get his weight in check, get his hands on someone and go through the steps of a match, and the fans get to see the face of the programThat is a prime example of wrestle-offs not being absolute.
