Man, we owned Auburn 49-33 for a half and really had them beat until the very end in Hawaii! Not sure if they've improved that much or if we just played really well that game? Probably both.
Yeah we did play well for a half. They erased an 18 lead though in the blink of an eye. That was not ideal seeing the “give up massive scoring run to the opponent” in that game.

Credit to our players and coaches though for keeping it close and having a chance, right down to the wire.

They chipped away and were ahead by 4 with about 3 minutes left. ISU had a chance at the end but turned it over to give Auburn the last look.

We never found out what a fully healthy ISU could have done but they still had limitations.

Either way at some point it becomes clear that a one game sample (or half as we've seen from the other side in many of ISU's historical wins) from November doesn't tell the whole picture.
Fully healthy I still believe we could compete with any team in the country.

I could see them competing for sure if they play well. Like I could see a tight game with these types of teams and eventually their athletes taking over.

Add in ISU's turnovers and they probably get beat by 8ish.

Speaking of injuries..there goes Broome pulling up trying to defend. Imagine Auburn without him to see how impactful one injury can be.

That was a foul on #10 Auburn if anything for grabbing around the waist.

Intentional too.
