Fall Camp Depth Chart

Wonder of Matt Leo has made a complete transition to DT or if he'll get reps at both DT and End. Having a 6'7 DT clog up the passing lanes could be nice.

Alexander at Star and LB..... Interesting that Spears is listed ahead of Northrup....

I will take the Spears thing as a good sign. Hopefully, it means he improved to a point he is better than Northrup and it is not a situation where he is beating him out because Northrup is regressing.

Didn't Payne play star last year? Not that I am concerned with him at C or anything I just didn't expect him there.

extremely concerned with the middle of our defense. DT, DE and LB's.

I think Butler is going to contribute a lot with that size. take some pressure of Lazard. Offense looks good. I guess only ? for me is LG. Garcia is capable.

Excited about Allen at TE and what he can bring

Mackenro Alexander @ linebacker? A 165lb strong safety?

I'm a little disappointed Bobby McMillen isn't showing up anywhere as he was getting plenty of reps before the injury.

But I must remind myself: pre-camp depth charts are often just motivational ploys.

Might still be coming back from the injury, was a pretty bad knee injury....

I would take this depth chart with a grain of salt.
Agree. A lot of times some of the movement reflects off season workouts. If guys really excel in the weight room, they are rewarded but by the time they actually start playing in camp, things shake out differently.

True.

I was shocked watching the UNI game last year how different the line up looked than the depth chart.

Spears ahead of Northrupp and Leo as a tackle were my biggest surprises. Especially since I remember some report saying Leo had physical gifts, but had to work on his pad level.

I'm really excited about the number of playmakers at WR, TE, RB and QB. If our line can continue the improvement we witnesses last year and give Park time to throw and Montgomery and Warren some room to run, we should be able to score with anyone.

The size and talent of Lazard, Eaton, Allen and Butler coupled with the speed of Ryen, Jones and Epps should be really intriguing to watch.

Ray Lima is stud..upgrade..Our DEs this yeR much better than last year IMO..Waggoner and Benton both serviceable and Eyioma going to be star.

Assuming Tongo shows up when was last time we had 4 Interior DL with that size?

Will it be all big 12? No..but our D will be better than last year..
