F1 2025 Discussion

Yeah I can definitely see him leaving F1 "early" but if he does guessing he would be done with it for good and just do other forms of racing whenever he pleases.

Possible for sure. However, the greats always make that one last comeback to just do the "Yeah I still exist and I am still better than all of you". It's just kind of in them to do it.

Qualifiers took 2hrs… lost track of how many red flags there were. P1 Max, P2 Sainz, P3 Lawson.

Piastri and Sainz crash in Q3.

Amazing that Max was able to get fastest lap by 0.4s with the track conditions.

6. Apparently a record.

The castle is a neat backdrop but Baku as a race is terrible and they just extended it through 2030. I watched it on my DVR and should have just skipped to the last 5 laps.
I feel like in the past the racing, for a street course, was ok. But I don't fee like we see as much of the later breaking and deep lunges compared to what that track should offer.

Hopefully with the new cars and new regs with opening the wing next year it will make some of these tracks better.

Things are getting chippy between the McLaren drivers after that opening lap. Piastri didn't seem too happy that they didn't force team orders yesterday. Other than that it was a pretty boring race I thought.

Side note constructors championship lead is huge. What is the record for Biggest lead?

Lando can't win. Either the guy qualifies amazing and screws up the start, or he finally busts through with a great start and then has to worry about hurting his teammates feelings.
