To each their own, but it is clear that this year's team is better on defense than last year's team.
I'm not sure that we aren't putting on rose colored glasses when thinking about last year's team too. They didn't pull out the close games that this years team has. They played in a weaker Big 12 conference and in the same games we've played this year, this year's team is +1 (wins at Oklahoma State and at Texas Tech minus a loss at West Virginia). In addition, last year's team blew large leads twice against West Virginia (much like we did against Texas Tech on Saturday) of 18 and 30ish.
