Will be in Des Moines today, looking for a nice lunch option, somethiing like the Cafe in Ames maybe, ideally with some gluten free options.

Fire away!

Lua Brewery has a great lunch.
Gateway Market.
Mullets.
Lachelle's is always amazing.

I'd vote for Lua also if a brew can be part of your plan.

I was just looking at a map and, I haven't tried it, but Abu Sama's brother's restaurant is open now - Palms. Great reviews.

You will always get great food at the Iowa Taproom, and fast.

Same thing at el Bait Shop.

Lua is great wo a brew as well.

I feel like last time I was at Big Grove their menu made note of gluten free options.

Thanks for the suggestions. Went to Fresko since wife was not interested in burgers. The Texas B&G(biscuits and gravy) was sublime.
