Does Nick Collison have one more year in him?

The 1999 Iowa High School class was loaded with talent. Collison, Hinrich, and Korver all left the state and ended up having incredible NBA careers. I saw Korver recently signed on for another 3 years and $22M and I wonder if Collison will get a one year deal with the Thunder or if he will be done. Either way all three of those guys made the state of Iowa very proud.

I listened to a podcast with Nick Collison on this morning. He is a great interview but I was hoping I would have got an answer to this question in the podcast. He talks a lot about his high school and college days which was cool though.

I've only listened to a few of the ISU related ones, but the Nick Moser and Curtis Stinson episodes were fantastic. Like the work those guys do.

Thought I had heard he was planning on retiring once his contract expired. Is that now or 1 more year?

He's hoping to sign another year or two. He still believes he can help a team win. His contract was up this year so as of right now he's done. I know he's hoping to hear soon and he just talked to Presti when they were all in NY for Russ' MVP award.
