Must be nice, my last teaching job we got paid once a month on the 20th. Totally sucked for the single new teachers living on one income.
I taught for 42 years and got paid once a month my entire career. I understand how hard it would be for a young teacher. We got used to it and budgeted accordingly.

It definitely helps as every other month is built on paying out of 2 checks. Anyone who doesn't think so is either so broke or so loaded that its hard to notice!

My old job went from twice monthly to biweekly. The only thing I noticed was that the checks got a bit smaller. But at the end of the year, it washes out.

We're not great at budgeting, so it didn't impact us too much.

I’ve gotten paid on the 1st and 15th for almost 20 years so no difference to me. Made a ton of difference when I was in college.

I don’t really budget but I don’t really spend any money either. Don’t think it would make a difference.

At my place no insurance taken out. No 401k taken out so check should be bigger?
My employer doesnt take insurance premiums out of the third check (fully covered by the first two) but things like 401k and HSA/FSA do still get taken out. It's nice to get the "extra" paycheck and also have it be a few hundred dollars more since we budget around getting paid twice a month. Usually we put it into savings to deal with unbudgeted stuff or once-a-year expenses.
