Very impressed with Watson's energy in the KU game, forgot how long he is. This is the first ISU team in a long time where, if he wants to, TJ can go with a 3 bigs formation for stretches, and Watson is big enough that he can play within that mix (along with Big Country and the Presidents).

Speaking of which, if Jackson can just finish a bit stronger at the rim, he is going to be a handful for every team in the country. He is a legit Big Boy, and he can shoot his FTs as a bonus, very nice!

Missed the game and Watson’s block. Always liked him and his energy he brings. Anyone have the block on video?

DWs length and athleticism affects the game so much when he is on the floor. I’d kind of forgotten about that. Also, he has another year in the S&C program under his belt and it shows.

I assume it as simple as he is 9th on the depth chart and TJ plays 8.

IMO - If ISU was 1-15 it could be a topic of discussion- with ISU at 15-1 it’s really not.

Fyi - He was hurt in Maui that’s why he didn’t play there.

Way up there
Gilbert missing Watson and not hitting him for the easy alley oop but then Watson getting a block to erase a bucket seconds later kind of just sums up his career. He deserved the dunk but the block is such a better representation of how electric he can be as a player. He went baseline to baseline to make that play, I feel like we all saw it coming, it just set up perfect.
