Deandre Kane arrested

It's wild that Iceland has a pro basketball league. The Des Moines Metro has almost double the population of Iceland.

Also Deandre Kane is apparently a dual citizen of Hungary. Kinda odd.

Anyways unfortunate he's end up in this position. You have to pay your bills...

this is unrelated to this but can't help but think what he would have made in this era of college basketball. it would suck to be in his position seeing current college athletes making life changing money just because they happened to be in college at the right time.

The citizenship thing seems to happen somewhat often for overseas players. See Nick Weiler-Babb getting German citenzship.

Kinda makes sense. If you’re playing in the league long enough to meet the residency requirements, it’s probably pretty easy to get.

He only played one year at a P5 level. Probably would have made ~ $2M if he were a senior next year.

I would imagine he transfers "up" sooner under the current system.

Showcases his talents earlier.

And either his second school pays up or he cashes in at a third or fourth.
