Cytown Update

Cytown will happen, it's just a matter of how long it takes to get things approved. I don't get the negativity around it. Worst case scenario is the whole thing gets canceled and we end up with the same parking lots we had previously, but at least they were repaved.
Correct me if I’m wrong but if it doesn’t happen, isn’t that millions wasted on all the work underground?
Wouldn't that be your worst case scenario?

He said there will be after the agreements are formalized in June. Listen to the interview and take it in context.
I'd imagine if there are any handshake agreements now, they'd either be illegal or frowned upon. Definitely nothing that could hold up in courts. Its possible their are tenants that are interested, but until they can legally sign on the dotted line, they don't want anything public.

I haven't searched through the thread, but I'd be curious how parking/traffic will work during with McFarland going to CyTown. Pediatrics being open late during weekdays and on Saturday mornings would be impossible to get to during morning Football games and on some basketball game traffic.

It won’t be open on football game days. Those services will be offered at other locations on those days. https://www.mcfarlandclinic.com/cytown

Football game days makes sense
Football makes sense, but I noticed it only mentions Urgent Care. I think Pediatrics is the only dept I know of with extended hours. I never thought about it until I had to take a kid for a potential ear infection at 6:30pm recently and thought it'd be rough trying to make it to a last minute appointment on a basketball game day

I rarely have trouble getting IN on basketball game days, it's the getting out that is slow AF.

Also, Mcfarland desperately needs to hire more providers. So hopefully this helps that like they say it’s supposed to.

That’s disappointing. I had planned on waving to any kids that happened to drop in for medical care. My virtue signaling is going to take a real hit this fall. At least I can face east and wave after the first quarter of Hok games. Everyone will think I’m a swell guy.

It will be tough for the McFarland Clinic when we end up having Friday night games.

Will it? I doubt we ever have more than 1, so we're talking 1 weekday out of the year. Or maybe just half a day, cause you could surely be open for the morning on a Friday gameday.

Just face the southeast and wave to the dogs, cats, and parakeets that are being cared for at the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Heard through a sub contractor bidding on this job that the deal doesn't pencil as originally planned, so the BOR and Goldenrod need to either change scope, redraw the project, or delay timelines...

Anyone else hearing similar?
