Major old man strength vibesLove seeing Rocky in ISU colors.
He looks good.

I didn’t watch but why was Zerbans score so close?Amos and Yonger have always had close matches. Good to get that match out of the way and feel the size for next time
Zerban was a little gimpy after the match and Mechler had good defense. Just a tough guy to score onI didn’t watch but why was Zerbans score so close?
Amos weighed in at 268 I think Yonger was 238Wonder what Amos weighed in at. He looked huge.
I know Yonger is not a big heavy, but both Amos and Ghadiali were quite a bit bigger than him.
I agree, I liked the format a lot. I hope it continues and it will be fun to see who we're able to bring in to kick off the season every year.Very fun tournament to see some more early matches for these guys. Hard to take too much away from this given the time of year and competition level but a few things stuck out to me.
Meza, grice and Tate had awful days. Those are guys I would have thought would be starters or big contributors at some point in the future. Did not look the part today.
Johnson definitely looked better motor wise and not wrestling down to his competition.
Euton looked very tough, don’t think he wrestled anybody good but he looked the sharpest out of all of our guys today besides maybe Elam.
Gaitan continues to not be as consistent as he needs to be. Got away with a lot today that won’t fly in higher level competition.
Bastida looked pretty good, obviously don’t like that last match too much but I feel like he sometimes struggles with guys of that style/build and Amos is still a top 20 guy. Not too concerned with him at this point.
I hope we continue this event in the future, seems like a great way to get a couple of tune up matches early in the year. I selfishly was very disappointed we didn’t get to see the ech frost matchup.
