OK, I've got a theory. SaraV has been pretty quiet this game. She also voted for DSMcy yesterday. So perhaps the AC had voted for JM4CY, and she wanted to gain another mafia member. Knocking off the second-highest vote-getter could be done to throw us off, as it's not a typical "veteran" move, and mafia tends to not want to hit somebody that they've voted for to keep people off-balance.

Yeah, it's thin, but it's what I've got. Plus, the disease is SARS-CoV-2. Which is pretty close to SaraV.
