I haven’t really followed the build-up to the season closely for a variety of reasons, but after the game on ESPN, Jesse Palmer mentioned teams not blocking or tackling in practice. From what I understand, this wasn’t a mandate and was left up to individual coaches. Do I have this right? Does anyone know what approach we took?

I’d like to think today was the result of Iowa State players not use to contact and some Rajun Cajuns that were ready to go.

ISU’s O line can’t block anyone — game or practice.

I didn't think the Oline was that bad. Tackling, WR and TE not getting any separation and dropping balls when they did, Purdy making bad decisions and missing throws and special teams ineptitude were all bigger problems I thought.
O-line was fine until Downing went out, then it reverted back to the **** we're used to seeing.

We were trying to run the ball in the second half like we were the 90’s Huskers and we put up a total of zero points. We can’t do it with this O line

That’s a lot of words when “they’re bad at football stuff“ says the same thing.
