Yeah the Michigan Man thing is kinda weird and it’s a little bit sad how many doors it opens. As an alum of both I’ve always found most of the actual michiagn alumni to be fairly rational (you always get your crazies at any school) the major problem is the Walmart wolverines that have no ties to the school outside of football fandom. They are some of the worst people I have ever met and I have zero issues using that sweeping generalization. Th big house is very cool but because of the shape it doesn’t ever get very loud. Tailgating is top notch.
The stallions doc was insanely biased, as evidenced by stallions lying not being called out at all and also having the OSU fan on record be an absolute psycho. While I do thing the sign stealing stuff was very overblown and that everyone is doing it to various degrees I had never heard that he got a gameball from Harbaugh for the Iowa game which gave a lot more ammo to people who want a * on the championship
His lack of remorse was pretty funny. Although not going to lie, if I was in the same position as him, and I could cheat ISU’s way to a national title I would 1000% do it with no regrets

The documentary was ok in my opinion. It's biased, but a lot of things like that on Netflix are. To me it highlighted just how crazy people are about college football. We had elaborate sign-stealing schemes and then elaborate "investigative" message board journalism to show everyone what had happened. All of this was done by people with a little too much time on their hands.
I believe everyone on the Michigan football staff knew what was going on. I also believe it was happening in varying degrees in a vast majority of places. In my opinion, the biggest benefit of this situation is it fast tracked direct communication with players on the field like the NFL. As big as college football has gotten with the money flowing around the sport, this was necessary.

Naw. If he is a good coach, he will be able to do his thing in college football. College football is loaded with dudes who have gone through way worse and still have jobs because they can coach.
I agree with this. Due to finally pushing helmet comms into the game, which should have been done decades ago, Connor Stallions is an American hero.
I will be honest about something. Being primarily an ISU fan, I have gotten to experience being the lovable loser who gains national rooting interest due to being an underdog or likeable. That's fun. It's also very fun to root for the team who is the villain and ends up winning. Of course, you can't take sports too seriously to enjoy that but being a UM fan last year was a blast. Now, if they lose even one game it would have been no fun at all but man, when everyone wants so bad for the team you're rooting for to lose and they just can't do it, there's something fun about that. Again, if you're someone who takes sports super seriously and look at it as an extension of general society, then maybe it shouldn't be that way.

He was already hired as an assistant high school cosch. He is young. I bet in 10 years or so, he will be a D2 coach somewhere. Most people will totally forget about this farce. Then in another 3-5 years he’ll be working at a major college again.
Reported yesterday he is now acting head coach at the high school due to a medical issue with the current head coach. I bet he will be back in college soon.

Netflix documentaries are terrible. They don't even try to hide that they're pushing a narrative anymore. Between this, Swamp Kings, and others like 3 Mile Island they're pretty much blacklisted on my TV.

Interesting view on the Big House. I really enjoyed the game and atmosphere when I went to one there especially the tailgate on the golf course etc
