I don’t even understand the end goal. Create one super league of blue bloods. Half will have losing records they aren’t used to and their fan base will lose interest. I certainly won’t watch if it doesn’t affect ISU. If I want high end football, I’ll watch the NFL.

Agreed. Once players unionize, get classified as employees, and then get paid, what's the point of the university association outside of manipulating people's love for their schools? I can't imagine the players going to class at that point. It's the end of the student athlete in CFB.

What I don't get is the assumption that everyone outside of the P2 is going to be watching those games. If your team is left out or in a lower division, you're not going to just pick a new team. I'll still watch ISU, but I'm not watching some super sized Big 11 or SEC game unless I'm betting on it. They're actually turning off a good portion of their potential audience. Personally, I love watching the early games (especially if there's a B12 11am and ending the night with a good P12 matchup or even a MWC game. It's sad to me that greed is killing off some of these conferences and only the two really matter. No one has any interest in the greater good of the sport. Too much greed and eventually, they're going to see the consequences.
