Living in the Chicago suburbs, I had a friend tell me once "don't ever let your kids visit UW-Madison. Once they visit, that will be their first choice of where to go to college". He was warning me of the costs of sending an out-of-state student there, but the point was about how great the campus is. Now I have a daughter finalizing her PhD in Madison and working for the university so I get up there often enough to say there is some truth to his warning (and beers on the patio overlooking the lake is pretty sweet). I am a proud ISU alum and wear my pride on my sleeve, but losing a player to UW-Madison is something I can accept. And I wish Bollers great success, he picked a excellent school with both great academics and a solid football team.
