NFL draft moron here, but 2nd round because not a lot of 1st round running back needs this year or 2nd round because other running backs higher?

Again NFL draft moron...but it seems to me his game breaker play ability proven more than any other running back in past 3 seasons of college football could be a home run for somebody. That on top of how fundamentally sound and well rounded he is. Like imagine of Montgomery had his big play ability.

I think he's the first RB taken in the draft. I just don't know if this year if a RB is taken in the first round. This year's draft seems flush with good DE's and Ol, who eat up a lot of first round picks.

Would the Bills, Dolphins, or even Bengals want to get an upgrade at RB right now? I'm sure they would but the first round pick is just a lot of draft capital.

If he went in the second round to a team with a good QB that may be much better for him long term. Like, David Montgomery's career has been really good so far in the NFL, but it would be even brighter if he played with above avg QB play.
