I'm more concerned about big 12 teams hitting wide open 3s like we gave gonzaga and someone not having a 30 point game to keep it respectable.

Yeah, I think it is still going to be a struggle against Baylor, West Virginia, Kansas and a couple of other teams who are really good at offensive rebounding unless Young and Holden can really step it up rebounding wise. I am curious as to why Young didn't play many minutes against Drake.
we do not have an average schedule. by your own admission, we are not even average in schedule within our conference. BTW, I don't believe the sky is falling...I hope we play better than we have.
We're 6th in the conference in SOS so I would say that is pretty much the definition of average
There are 351 teams in Division 1 college basketball. ISU's strength of schedule rank is #182.
I would call that average, if you want to get polemical you could call that just barely below "average".
You would think these would of been the games to play young and get him adjusted to the college game.. They are either just gunna throw young to the Sharks, or play small both are frustrating.
I haven't really read any postgame stuff... Was there ever any comment on Solomon Young's playing time by CSP?
If you want our true stats just look at the Iowa game........Gonna be a long big 12 campaign with a lot of lumps thrown in for good measure......

I think that we have a tendency to look at our team through rose colored glasses because nobody wants to say out loud what they may be thinking...makes you sad to think our "run" might be coming to an end.
I tend to agree with you but may be labeled a chicken little by doing so.
I'll still cheer and hope we surprise a few teams this year.
Dont let the CF groupthink and projection cloud you on Young. He's going to be good and an important player for us. Just not this year.
