If CPR was forced out at the end of the season, who would be some realistic prospects that would be attainable for us to get?Would you rather go the Coordinator route or a mid major head coach? I feel like guys like PJ Fleck are a pipe dream. Would love for Paul to be here, but if it's going to happen who are some other candidates?

At the end of the 2013-14 season, many wanted Rhoads out and Mangino in. Now we have both. And many of us don't want anything to do with either

Do what we did in mens basketball, go find an established power conference head coach and double his salary just like we did for Johnny Orr (frm 18K to 36K).

You can hire all the mid major/ coordinators and still win 2 or 3 games a year.

Ia State is the worst job in the big 12, and in the worst geographic location

I sincerely doubt JP will be conducting a coaching search for FB.

I hope this means you are confident we are going to win a lot of games the rest of the way. I might think you're crazy but at least it would mean you don't think we are going to hang on to a guy after his sixth straight losing season.

I wish I had that confidence. I'm more confident in JP not being able to make the right decision because of his loyalty to his coaches in general and more specifically his friendship with CPR.

I hate to agree with you, but that's where I'm at as well. It's almost sickening to think about that.

The apathy in me has been in full effect since midway through last season but was cemented once he was allowed to coach another season. I hate watching ISU lose but on the same token, I'm done letting this coaching staff ruin Saturdays for me.

I'd just like to see us try going for an OC instead of a DC like we've done in the last hires (i believe going back through the 80s). Get an offensive mind running the show.

Why do you think this is the problem?

Because if everybody does the same thing, and your talent level may not be equal to the teams you play, you probably will not win very often

ISU needs to run an offense that other teams do not see day in and day out.
