CHIVE

I go on Chive and Cracked about everyday, the funny thing is I have not noticed anyone wearing chive shirts before. Now I am enrolled at Iowa State this fall so i bet that will changed, but I went to a school of 1,500 students in Minnesota and I bet only a handful of students knew what the chive is. My point is I have not seen a problem with too many chive shirts or bumper stickers in fact it would be cool to see someone and have something in common with them right off the bat.

Now the chive isn't 100% dudes, and I thought the meet ups were for chivers to meet up with chivettes.( I never read any of the meet up posts since i never plan on meeting up with fellow chivers and chivettes so i could be mistaken.)

The thing i like a lot about Chive is their facts and signs of WTF, mind the gap and redheads are awesome too.

I like the chive, but I don't understand why people think it is so exceptional. The humor isn't different than anything else you find on the internet. My "frat dbag" friends have never heard of it but all the guys at my work think it is awesome and buy shirts. For reference, they were apartment dwellers at college.

I pretty much just use the mobile version so it's basically just picture sets but I wouldn't call chive and reddit similar.
 
Its a well established fact they just compile a bunch of things they find on the internet. It's working well for them.
 
The people who wear the shirts and horse heads or whatever are annoying and are going overboard, but many of the photos are worth looking at.

Theirs a chive meetup tonight in WDSM at the "cyclone" bar Keg Stand. While you keep making fun of it, I'm sure you have failed to realize that all money from the meet ups usually go to a charity or a family with a kid in need.

Keep making fun though brah. I'm not even a huge Chive fan as I've only been looking at it for a couple months, but you just sounds ridiculous with some of the stuff you are saying.
 
I quit the chive when the owners started getting political with some issues--like starting a stupid facebook "movement" called something similar to "One Million Strong for the release of the Osama death photos" or someshit like that.

I can find my funnies and hot chicks online without having to read their political/social views or whatever. I mean, I would still probably enjoy their content, but if it's good enough (if the chick is hot enough, the sign funny enough, or whatever), it'll be hosted somewhere else too. It's the way of the internet.

Good on them for making money doing what most redditors do for free karma and whatnot, though.
