***CFB October 2nd & 3rd Games***

K State held on two consecutive plays just now, neither one called. First one allowed an 18 yard run for first down. Next play a run for TD. Obvious holding both plays, no flags. Refs having a bad day.

Maybe these refs are going to average out the the penalty count for the league by making up for the TCU Texa$ game. :p

In the first half of this game a KSU guy fair caught a punt on the 2.

You don’t see that every day.

I thought it was a stellar day of Big XII football! My ranking of the results this weekend:

1) ISU wins
2) OU loses (hey, that game was worth 2 spots)
3) Texas loses
4) Baylor loses
5) KU gets boat raced, and it wasn't that close
6) KSU wins (only result I would have changed.

Baylor: Charlie Brewer is not the player he was last year. Poor throws. No elusiveness. Slow. Indecisive. Inaccurate passer. Either he just had a really "off" day, or he has lost something. Defense not impressive against WVU. Turnovers and penalties by WVU kept Baylor in that game.

WVU: Doege is unimpressive IMO. Not particularly accurate. Not a runner. Offense was just blah. Their defense is what will make them competitive. Good pass rush. Secondary did a decent job. Really, West Virginia appeared to be the better team yesterday. They just turned the ball over 4 or 5 times. Muffed punt when one WVU blocker ran over his own guy who was trying to catch the punt, if not for that this game is over without overtime.
