Man I’m so far out of the loop with this stuff—-can you get new phones through Visible? I don’t need/want one but my wife does. Thanks for your help!

yes. they look like they're basically the same prices as if you'd get them at other carriers. they're the same price on Visible as they are on T-Mobile.

I think I got my free one around Thanksgiving. Not sure what kinds of deals they run the rest of the year.
