CBS too early too 25

I am surprised no ChemE's corrected me. Evidently this is even more flammable...

It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water—with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals—steel, copper, aluminum, etc.—because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride which protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminum keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes.

Thank you for sending me down that rabbit hole! https://interestingengineering.com/chlorine-trifluoride-set-fire-glass

Upon contact with water, CLF3 reacts explosively. Unfortunately for humans, water is an element humans are mostly comprised of. Once in contact with human skin, the mixture quickly ignites. Pouring water on it only provides more fuel for it to burn. Once ignited, it is nearly impossible to extinguish. Typically the best course of action during a spill is to evacuate the area and let the chemical wreak its havoc. The corrosive gasses which are created are easily carried by the wind. Any metals that come into contact with it become severely rusted.

Cool for ISU! I'm not sure that happens very often when a historically bad program goes 8-5 and loses large portions of what made them successful, but the more people see that name, the better.

I'll still be content with anywhere from 6-8 wins regular season and even losses being close. At least in the losses last year I didn't feel like I'd wasted my afternoon/evening since the game was still interesting. As disheartening as a couple of them were, I'd take that over the apathy I felt 3-4 years ago.

WOW! ONLY ISU, OSU, and OU from the B12 included in that. That means no Texas, TCU, WVU, KSU, or Texas Tech... (or Kansas and Baylor obviously). But a world where we're listed and not those other 5 schools? Holy Buckets!

Damn. This place (CF) is gonna be insane come July and August. I thought last year was pretty hyped

And likely Meltdown City after the first loss, which may or may not include a passive 'Should ISU have kept CPR for 6 more years and 3 more OC's?' thread.

The excitement will probably be far and away the most ISU's had pre-season football. For good reason though.

Thank god CMC is good at handling hype we get with the kids. That’s a huge step in improving our program. Something CPR always seemed to suck at.

It's kind of crazy seeing ISU getting media love but look at CMC's first two years, there are only about 3 games that you can't argue he could have won.

So I’m their mind ISU is the 3rd best team in the big 12. Never thought I’d see the day...

Only CF can take a thread about top 25 football and nerdify it.
