She's from Chatham which is about 2/3 of the way from Toronto to Detroit, so maybe a 2 1/2 to 3 hr drive.Isn’t she from there?
Isn’t she from there?
Eh?Isn’t she from there?
Maybe even more importantly, her family and friends will be able to watch her games on TV as they are all televised on channels in Canada that most people get (TSN and Sportsnet). Alot of US feeds don't cross the border into Canada so her profile in Canada will increase. She's from Chatham which is about 2/3 of the way from Toronto to Detroit, so maybe a 2 1/2 to 3 hr drive.
Wow. Over Caitlin Clark, the greatest to ever do it or so I'm told
I mean each team protects five players. CC wasn’t available.Wow. Over Caitlin Clark, the greatest to ever do it or so I'm told
Each team gets to protect 5 players. CC obviously wasn't available. Actually kind of surprised Minnesota didn't include Carleton in their protected 5.Wow. Over Caitlin Clark, the greatest to ever do it or so I'm told
Probably they thought that Toronto would pick her and she would relish the chance playing at home. Didn’t think Portland would nab her firstEach team gets to protect 5 players. CC obviously wasn't available. Actually kind of surprised Minnesota didn't include Carleton in their protected 5.
I think when the nhl added the knights it was each team could reserve x amount of players and whoever wasn’t reserved was an eligible draft pick. How does this work?
Figured it was something like this. Ah well, I have no regrets. Each team gets to protect 5 players. CC obviously wasn't available. Actually kind of surprised Minnesota didn't include Carleton in their protected 5.
I think financially she will be compensated well. She can play for one year and then go play somewhere else after this season.I feel bad for her. She's going from a very good program to finish her career with an expansion team that will take years to get better.
