Bryce Miller Article on Jake Knott..... Really???

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/ar...r-to-Jake-Knott-a-Cyclones-original?Frontpage
The theme of the article overall has good meaning behind, it but one statement really sticks out to how little DSMReg knows about Iowa State football and college football in general.
'More than anything, he saw a football player when few others did. Undersized? The coach didn’t care.'

Does anyone really think that Knott as a LBer is undersized?? Maybe coming into college, but not many true freshmen are at playing weight right away, I would hardly consider him undersized now though, 6'3" 252, to me that is an NFL sized LBer. To me statements like that though overall the article is not meant this way, come across as disrespectful to Iowa State football.... Writers like this need to be researched a lot more.

I think your response to the article says more about you as a Cyclone fan with a slighted complex than Miller as a biased writer. Skimming through the minutae of Cyclone-anything to find slights. Kinda pathetic. Nothing to see in that article but respect

OP:

Tomorrow when you crawl out of bed, take a deep look in the mirror and ask yourself "What the hell is wrong with me?"

Then fix it, 'cause you are a broken man.

Of course, this is just my opinion, and that's what forums are for, right?

Un burro sabe mas que tu.

At the beginning of the article, it says Paul Rhoads was an unproven coach when he first came to ISU. Backhanded remark! Revolt against the RAG!

This is the worst complaint I have ever read on this site. Absolutely the worst. I almost wish I was a hawkeye fan so I could rip you apart for your insecurity, that is how insane it is.

It was a great article. I liked how he weaved Rhoads and Knott together.

And it is kind of about more than that...there are very few (if any) players that I've heard talk on this Iowa State team that wouldn't do just about the same thing as Jake did. Maybe not to the extreme since I think Jake is in a league of his own, but pretty darn close.

That's why I am just so excited to see where Iowa State football goes. That's why even when the losses hurt and suck, I am still thrilled about the future. That's why no matter what, no matter how ugly the last 2 weeks were, I was excited to go to Jack Trice last Saturday. It's why I won't miss a home game and why I always show up early, and always stay until the end.

The good part about this is that while we might not get to see Jake play for Iowa State again (I'll hold out hope for a possible bowl game until there is not shot), I know we won't be short of guys like him as long as Paul Rhoads is our coach.

I swear to god that it doesn't matter what anyone writes about anything to do with ISU, someone will find something to ***** about within it.

OP is a hot-headed idiot. Just my opinion.

That article was GREAT! Really zoned in the true essence of Jake! Gonna miss this guy! I hope he can make it back for a bowl game, but I don't want him to come back at the risk of ruining his career! Good read!
