Unfortunately, Bridget and Team Canada's Tokyo Olympic journey has come to an end as they didn't qualify for the knockout stage due to point differential.
Early today in Group B, France lost to Team USA by 11 pts (93-82). They finish 1-2 and have +10 PD.
In Group C, Australia defeated Puerto Rice by 27 pts (96-69). They finish 1-2 and have +10 PD. Australia led PR by only a point at halftime, then the flood gate opened in the second half.
Canada finishes 1-2 and has +7 PD.
It's disappointing we can't see Bridget play again at Tokyo Olympics. She is one of the few players on Team Canada who played relatively well, executed the game plan and knew her role. Her contribution is not always shown on the stat sheets. Her unselfishness and intangibles are underrated. I hope Bridget enjoys her stay in Tokyo and uses this experience to improve her game. I'm confident we will see her again in Paris 2024.
Thank you, Bridget!
