He has a patience about him. Fully in control.
There were about 5 times tonight I thought he was going to get tackled for a loss, but slipped the tackle and turned it into a 10+ yard run. He’s so fun to watch, especially in open field.
I think he’s better now than Montgomery was as a sophomore. Regardless, it doesn’t matter cause both were/are great

Montgomery had a worst OL , he broke tackles
His balance is incredible, he was pulling off some ridiculous spin moves

You mean like Hall did on the 36 yard run in last TD drive?
Hall was visibly in better condition than the defenders trying to bring him down as the game went on.
I am not comparing him to walter payton but I think walter was really good at punishing defenders early on and wearing them down and then getting big chunks in later runs. He was always looking to punish the corner or linebacker taking him down. Breece does that a little too.
He may be a better overall yardage and big play guy.
For short yardage and ball security we'll probably never see better than Montgomery. I compare it to Monte Morris protecting the ball in hoops.
He has the extra gear that Montgomery doesn't have, even if he's ever slightly easier to tackle than him.
And according to the announcers, he was doing this on a badly sprained ankle. He overruled the coaches that wanted to keep him out - he just wanted to be out there.
It’s OK to say it. Everyone knows how great Montgomery was here. Hall is better. Nothing wrong with that statement.
