BREAKING: Huge Facebook news

I mean Facebook sucks a big one but I fail to see how it's a "monopoly", being the biggest and most well-known doesn't constitute an unlawful business practice. There's tons and tons of other social media outlets out there, copies of copies of stuff. Then again, I guess it can't really hurt, but just passing off WhatsApp and Instagram isn't gonna change much.

I think they mentioned it in the Social Dilemma and I've heard it said before, but that's not entirely true around the world. In some of these developing countries you can get Facebook on your cell phone for free, but pay for everything else. So Facebook = The Internet in a lot of places.

So they get to only see the worst of America? That explains some.

More like you can use Facebook to communicate in Africa, but you'd have to pay to use Google. Or amazon. Or whomever.

Especially if you've never encountered anything outside of your village, you'd just think that's "it" as far as the Internet goes.

Now, honestly, do they have cell phones there. Are we talking cities in a country? You mentioned villages and I'm mentally picturing the Susan (whatever her name was from Archie Bunker) in the villages. I have never been there so all I really have is the stereotypes and not trying to insult or affend anyone because I'm truly ignorant to that part of the world.
