As someone mentioned the water activities on Table Rock are fairly limited if you don’t have a boat but the water is incredible and like nothing you’ll experience around here. Rent a boat or jet skis for a day or two and enjoy the heck out of it and go to divers bluff and jump off the cliffs. The water in Taneycomo is incredibly cold coming out of the bottom of the 200+ foot deep lake but it’s neat to see and compare the two.

Also have plenty of recommendations for places to stay depending on what you’re looking for (staying in Branson near everything or staying on the lake to get away from it all).

I am suddenly trying to decide if we should go down for a long weekend or something this year.

Just came back from 4 days in Branson. Great time, first time we took our kids, they loved it. Did the Dolly show (a little pricy), the the Grand Jubilee show, we liked it, family friendly. Did more mini golf than I can ever remember and the downtown area by the river landing is pretty neat. Silver dollar city is great. Also stopped at Lamberts in Springfield…kinda like Hickory Park, but the throwed rolled were with it. For only being 6 hours away, it’s a nice place to get away.
