Dropped to a 6 Seed playing in College Park, Md. Not a wonderful second round matchup.

Iowa is still in as a 10 seed

Honestly, I think I am happier with a six seed that a four or five. Sure, a four of five is supposed to help to the sweet sixteen, but I have no desire to play Stanford, UConn, ND, or Stanford in the sweet sixteen again.

Maryland is good, athletic, and scores a lot. But, against a BF team could struggle as they have never been a good defensive squad. Much like our current ISU boys.

Can't believe he thinks Nebraska deserves a 3 seed. Yeah, they have a 10 game win streak, but it didn't include Purdue nor Penn St., and didn't include any teams with a winning record in the b1g. They got schooled on their home floor last night.

A six seed can be okay. Often the 3 and 4 seeds are not too far apart (in terms of a 2nd round matchup), and as noted, the benefit is huge if you make the Sweet 16 and face a 2 instead of a 1.

Nebraska's record is 22-7 and 12-4. ISU is 21-7 and 12-6. Both finished 2nd in their conference. Take out Baylor, for which there is no equal in the Big Ten, and ISU is 21-5 and 12-4. If Nebraska is a 3 seed, why not ISU?

Here is Sagarin's ranking of the two:

12 Iowa St. = 89.54 21 7 78.97( 18) 1 3 | 8 6 | 89.89 11 | 89.14 15

13 Oklahoma St. = 89.01 20 9 77.39( 45) 1 3 | 6 7 | 87.68 18 | 90.33 13

14 Nebraska = 88.87 22 7 79.12( 17) 1 3 | 10 5 | 88.64 15 | 89.04 16

I assume with Iowa's win today over Northwestern, now on a 2 game winning streak, will edge them into the tournament taking away any chance of of the sisters playing first round in IA City?
