Bracketology 2024

Are the sessions defined when the selections are announced OR does that have to be arranged for TV first (or is it arranged while before announcement?)

EDIT: I know, I'm probably too old to be asking this, but when I go involved, there were only 32 teams and this regions not playing each other down to the finish is just plainly confusing. But, I'll let the experts make fun of me.

TV chooses who they want on which channel and when, which then determines session times.

How far into the program until they announce for ISU? Or how soon are we able to figure it out. #1 for West selected, #2 for Midwest selected, NC placed as a #2 ……

We'll know like right off the top of the show whether we're a 1 or a 2 because they always announce the 1s first. If we're a 1, we automatically know we're in the West, and playing Omaha/Los Angeles. If we're a 2, then the only bracket we can't be in is the South, where Houston is the 1, so then it could be anywhere, and it will be Omaha/Whichever City.

Thursday/Friday start times came out around 7 p.m. Sunday last year, which seemed a little earlier than usual.
