Bracketology 2024

Am I alone in looking at Arizona and thinking they have one good win (@Duke)?
Ya I don't get the Arizona 1 seed love. Good wins in the non con, duke and Alabama, but the Wisconsin and Mich State wins aren't that great now. Terrible losses to Stanford and Oregon State. Tennessee deserves the 4th #1 to me right now, no doubt really, but theirs still a lot of Arizona #1 out there

Lowest seeded 1. Guess I'm not as optimistic they would give us that kind of benefit.
I think you’re confusing the regional locations and first and second round locations. If Omaha was a regional, I could see your point. We will for sure be in Omaha as a 1 seed. As a 1 seed, we would be looking at Dallas, LA, or Detroit for the regional.

At the same time, Arizona is #4 in kenpom and torvik, 3 in bpi.

SOR though is only 11, so that definitely calls into question their resume.

So they've performed like a top 5 team, but only really have the record of a 3 seed.

Well you

See, it is like this. They are both
Exceptional teams that can generate a lot of
Cash being a higher seed.

Becoming more likely that Tennessee is going to nab that final 1 seed. It's theirs to lose imo. They play at South Carolina and get Kentucky at home to close the regular season.

It's a long shot but if we get the 1 we won't get Omaha. Would you rather have the 1 go out west or get the 2 and get Omaha?

I think we'd still get Omaha if we're at the 1/2 level, but didn't something similar happen in 2000? We got the 2 seed and Minneapolis the first weekend, but was it worth having to go to Detroit?

They give you your closest site for the first round. Might be west regional but it would be Omaha

It's different now. First round games are at the closest site that has not been filled.

The only way we don't get Omaha is if this happens.
Kansas seeded higher than us
Alabama seeded higher than Baylor and Baylor seeded higher than us.
